She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Thomas and Florence Thomas; her husband Wilfred E. Danekas Jr; her son William Danekas; and her sister Shirley Frantum.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Coleman (David) of Sycamore, IL and Ronald Danekas of DeKalb, IL; her granddaughters, Kimberly Wilkerson (Jay) of Sycamore, IL, Kelly Duffy (Nicholas) of Chattanooga, TN and Jennifer Simon (Jason) of Milwaukee, WI; her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Cole Wilkerson and Elizabeth Duffy; her daughter-in-law Janet Danekas of Hinckley, IL; and her sisters, Nancy Kuppler (William) of Hinckley, IL, Patricia Thomas of Aurora, IL and Carolyn Gaddie of Aurora, IL.. She is also survived by wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
