The memory of Gregory P. LaPlante of Saint Anne, Illinois, who passed away on February 11, 2025 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward B. LaPlante and Rita C. O'Brien LaPlante; his children, Richard LaPlante and Katie LaPlante Evans; his granddaughter Kaitlyn; his brother Bill; his sister-in-law Jackie LaPlante; his brother Gene; his sister-in-law Ann LaPlante; his sister Collette; and his brother-in-law Gabe Maravetz.
He is survived by: his wife Beth LaPlante of St. Anne; his children, Michelle LaPlante of Pleasant Prairie, WI and Ed (Anne); his stepsons, Philip Naff (Trista) of Ipava, IL and Kyle Naff of Brooklyn, NY; his grandchildren, Kayla, Emma, Chloe, Chase, Hannah, Aaliyah and Skylar; his great grandchildren, Leina and Nico; and his siblings, Cathy Maravetz (Les) of Westfield, NJ and Justin LaPlante (Cathy) of Valparaiso, IN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jensen Funeral Home East Route (3639 E IL-17, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
