He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Payne and Florence Payne (Anderson); and his siblings, Henry Payne, Geneva Frank, Ethel Jennings, Lois Eastin, Matilda Ann "Toots" Payne and James Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Payne of Sailor Springs; his children, Dean Payne Sr. (Mary) of Sumner, Linda Norris (Mike) of Sailor Springs, Albert Dale Payne (Kim) of Sailor Springs and Brenda Lynn (Rodney) of Clay City; and his sister Elaine Anderson of Marseilles. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Cancer Crusaders and will be accepted through the funeral home.
