He was predeceased by: his parents, John Raymond and Cora Ednas Pickens (Anderson); his wife Shirley Cox; his son James R. "Randy" Pickens; his great grandchild Berklee Pickens; his siblings, Merle Foreman, Eugene Pickens and Keith Pickens; and his stepson Timothy Wright.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Stanley; his sons, Flint N. "Nick" Pickens (Marsha) of Sailor Springs and Sterling C. Pickens (Julie) of Kansas City, MO; his daughter-in-law Barb Pickens of Atoka, OK; his stepdaughter Mary Kay Traxler; his grandchildren, Lee Pickens, Bryan Pickens, Stephanie Pickens, Cora Pickens, Madison Pickens, Camden Pickens, Brandon Davis, April Pickens, Brandon Cravins, John Cravins and Cody Cravins; and his siblings, Leon Pickens of Kansas and Shirley Atchison (Bill) of Louisville. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
