It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Decroix of Rushville, Illinois, born in Flora, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanford P. Schoonover and Juanita L. Schoonover (Pickel); her husband Charles J. DeCroix; and her siblings, Shirley Peters, Donald Schoonover and Gary Schoonover.
She is survived by: her close friend Alan Williams of Rushville; her daughters, Kelly Hills (Mike) of Mattoon and Jenny Farris of Louisville; her stepchildren, Andrea Deamery (Mark) of Blue Mound, Chuck DeCroix (Wendy) of Smith Grove, Michelle Rousey (Matt) of Williamsville and Gina Russell (Patrick) of Springfield; her siblings, Sandy Schoonover of Louisville, Darrell Schoonover (JoAnn) of Louisville and Dale Schoonover (Carol) of Cumberland Furnace; and her sister-in-law Ronna Schoonover of Louisville. She is also survived by three grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren.
