It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Wherley of Rushville, Illinois, born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on May 5, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Speedy T. Wherley and Lois Wherley (Henderson); his son Mark Wherley; and his siblings, Billy Wherley and Beverly Rayome.
He is survived by: his son Joel Wherley (Michele) of Chatham; his sisters, Betty Sinnock of Havana, Carol Moss (Rich) of Marquette Heights and Janet Maxwell (Laverne) of Rushville; his grandsons, Clint Wherley of Jacksonville and Chad Wherley (Amy) of Washington, D. C.; and his close friend Nancy Dean of Rushville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.
