He is survived by: his children, Donna Slaton (Phillip) of Galesburg, Barb Slaton (Douglas) of Knoxville and Rod Chockley (Debbie Lindsey) of Rushville; his grandchildren, Lorah Lackland (Kurt), David Slaton, Laith Slaton, John Slaton (Lauren), Rae Slaton, Courtney Newton (Adam), Kelsey Chockley and Takoda Crenshaw; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Lola Bigham, Aurora Jane Newton and Isaiah Louis Lackland; his sister Linda Tankersley (Ken) of Goodlettsville; and his sister-in-law Gwendolyn Root (George) of Marissa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
