It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Root of Rushville, Illinois, who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse R. Root and Alice Root (Sears); his granddaughter Dawn Root Bronson; his great grandchild Angey Childers; and his siblings, Della McDonald, LaVerne and Eldred Root.
He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Brinton; his children, Kathy Jett (Bob) of Rushville, Rocky Root (Kim) of Rushville, Rick Root of Fort Myers and Randy Root, Sr. (Angela) of Adair; his grandchildren, Bobby Jett, Clint Jett, Jennifer Payton, Deon Root (Vicky), Courtney Ahlers (Jeff), Jessica Dyson (Adam), Dustin Root (Caitie), Randy Root, Jr. (Meredith), Jamie Walters, Chelsie Ashley (Chris), Daylan Root and Danielle Root; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Kimberley, Tony, Dylan, Payten, Cydnee, Kaydence, Nykolas, Kamden, Izzy, Halle, Brody, Tessa, Deaven, Derek, Amelia, Carter, Ethan, Conner, Ivy, Mingle, Canon, Canie, Colsie, Sedona, Brynlee, Braeden and Brian; his great great grandchildren, Hunter, Gabe, Kaylee, Connor and Auddie; and his brothers, George Root (Gwen) of Marissa, Larry Root (Nancy) of Kansas City, JB Hunt, Star Trucking and Industries. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
