He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Dale and Virginia Maxine Reed Stevens; and his grandson William Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carol Diane Vermillion of Rushville; his daughters, Shannon Smith of Mt. Sterling and Jammie Anderson (Mike) of Mt. Sterling; his grandchildren, Alexander Zillion (Ally), Simone Morrison (Carson), Isobel Anderson, Jackson Anderson, Micah Anderson and Dana Cayden Robert Smith; and his siblings, Earl Craig Stevens (Vickey) of Rushville and Susan Lynn Johnson of Rushville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Beardstown First Southern Baptist Church (900 Grand Ave, Beardstown, IL 62618). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Beardstown First Southern Baptist Church or the Disabled American Veterans.
