He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles, Sr. Akin and Alene Burke Akin; his wife Vivian Eileen Jockisch; his grandson Dylan Fitzjarrald; and his brother Dean Akin.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Akin of Rushville, Rhonda Randall (Rodney) of Necedah, Rebecca Fitzjarrald (Mike) of Rushville, Regina Akin of Rushville, Roxanna Paben (Robert) of Rushville and Rachella Wilson (Craig) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois.; and his brother Larry Akin of Knoxville. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
