With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Orville Walter Rients of Rural, Illinois, who passed away on August 15, 2020 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Rients and Ida Rients (Post); his former wife Helen Kruse; his wife Dorothy Hassinger (Hoerner); his sister Alice Lutjens; and his granddaughter Emily Bellot.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Bellot (Mark) of Joliet and Alan Rients (Susan) of Minonk; his stepchildren, Larry Hassinger (Deanna) of Pontiac and Diane Hammond (Steve) of Fairbury; his grandchildren, Audrey Johnson (Andy), John Bellot, Allison Williams (Spencer), Jennifer Bellot, Megan Rients, Katie Rients and Jared Rients; his great grandchildren, Scarlett and Theodore Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Kimberly Brooks (Scott), Kyle Hammond (Sarah) and Joe Hassinger (Ashley); and his sister Clara Spencer of Flanagan.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face mask are required and social distancing will be followed.
