He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Staggs and Ruby Lee Blasingain (Ricketts); his son Franklin Staggs; his grandchildren, Carlie and Zachary Staggs; and his siblings, Judy Keck, Gary Staggs, Donald Williams and Maggie.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Staggs of Royalton; his children, Loretta Olmsted (Dale) of Dowell, Daniel Staggs (Lisa) of Royalton, Greg Staggs (Carissa) of Royalton and Marie Staggs (H. B.) of Johnston City; his grandchildren, Cierrah, Tyler Olmsted, Dylan Staggs (Jayci Bolden) and A. J. Staggs; his stepgrandchildren, Adrianna Furlow-Hampton, Glenda Martin and Carson Phillips; and his siblings, Clyde Staggs, Leroy, Michael and Diane Blasingain. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
