She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Colo and Ermenia Colo (Coppi); and her siblings, Irma Beavers, Libby Biscontini, Mary Ferarri and Pete Colo.
She is survived by: her children, Louis, Mae Kalert of Centralia, Nancy, Jerry Compton of Carbondale and Bennie Kalert of Royalton; her stepdaughter Janice (Elmer Petri) of Carbondale; her grandchildren, Angela Grimmer (Bob) of Carbondale, Stephen Compton of Carbondale and Jimmy Kalert (Mary) of Makanda; and her great grandchildren, Macey, Kristyn Kalert of Makanda and Ben Compton of Carbondale. She is also survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Aloysius-Sacred Heart Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
