He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Joan Fitzgerald (Prather); and his brother-in-law Michael Gene Metz. He is survived by: his siblings, David Fitzgerald (Marian) of Bethalto, Jan Metz of Decatur, Julie Sharp (Robert) of Edwardsville, Jill Martin (Brad) of Rockbridge and Jeri Dawson (Rob) of Alton; and his pets, Hondo and Louie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
