He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Marie Navarro Smith; his parents, John Valentine of Washington and Icey Ola Smith; and his siblings, Reba Lois DePriest, Freda Smith, Sonny, Randy and Johnny Smith.
He is survived by: his children, John of Rosiclare, IL and Thomas Andrew Smith of Rosiclare, IL; and his sister Vonda Belt of Anna, IL. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
