He is survived by: his wife Brenda Vaughn; his children, James P. Spivey (Joyce), Timothy W. Spivey (Lucinda) and Suzanne C. Dutton (Derik); his sister Brenda Jenkins (Mitch); and his cousin Neen Smith.
