He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanche Smith (McClure) and Harley Smith; and his brother Sydney Smith. He is survived by: his wife Linda Smith (Fricker) of Paducah, KY; his sons, Steven Smith (Carol) of Paducah, KY and Robert Smith (Boo) of Goreville, IL; his grandchildren, Briauna Shelby, Macey Schilling, Peyton Smith of Paducah, KY, Skyler Smith and Brayden Smith of Goreville, IL; his great grandchildren, Avery and River Shelby of Paducah, KY; and his grandchildren, Rico, Reese Smith of Wellsville, Bentley Smith of Carmi, IL and Dalis Schilling of Paducah, KY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Stone Church (6 Stone Church Rd, Rosiclare, IL 62938). A masonic service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Empire Cemetery.
