He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Meier and Rosemary Meier (Tray); his brothers, Allen Meier and Robert "Sandy" Meier; his siblings-in-law, Larry Roelandt and Shirley Meier; and his nephews, Brad Roelandt and Jeff Meier.

He is survived by: his wife Teresa Griffin; his children, Christopher Meier (Jennifer) of Washington, IL, Eric Meier (Shannon) of Byron, IL, Kelly Dodd (Jacob) of Roseville, IL and Tommy Griffin (Lindsey) of Hickory, MS.; his grandchildren, Paige "Paigey", Jayda "Angel", Madyson "Maddy", Brody "Skippy", Ella and Lindley; his sisters, Patricia Roelandt and Donna Maurek (David); his sister-in-law Linda Meier; and his pet Amigo. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren and his daughters/son in-law.

Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home.
