We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2024, at the age of 74, Gregory Lynn Bates of Roseville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Junior Bates and Louise Erma McDonald; his uncle Ray McDonald; his father-in-law Kendall Heaton; and his brother-in-law Bob Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Lindy Heaton; his children, Sabrina Brown (Corey) of Donnellson and Ashley Smith (Aaron) of Bartlett, Illinois; his granddaughters, Bella, Jenna, Karra, Anna Brown and Ally Smith; his sister Connie Cook; his mothers-in-law, Carol Heaton of Missouri and Martha Brown of St. Claire, Missouri; his nephews, Tony Cook (Leslie) and Brian Cook (Jenny) of Monmouth; and his great-nieces, Aubrey McVey (Zach) and Emily Cook of Monmouth.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore Memorial (230 W Penn Ave, Roseville, IL 61473). The military honors will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Point Pleasant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home.
