It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Lee Van Aken of Roscoe, Illinois, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on February 24, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Quinn and Josephine Quinn (Ferguson); her husbands, William E. Taylor and Harry; her children, Helen Portwine and Albert Taylor; and her brothers, Raymon and John Quinn.

She is survived by: her son Bill Taylor (Chelli); her grandchildren, Chad Portwine, Christi Taylor, William Taylor, Christian Portwine and Kariel Portwine; and her sister Mary McKenna. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice.
