With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Kirk (Roscoe, Illinois), born in Okolona, Mississippi, who passed away on August 21, 2018 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Vera; her parents, Fred Thompson and Ruby Thompson; her siblings, Hubert Thompson, Fred Thompson and Mary Louise Thompson; her grandson Steven Kirk; and her husband Ambrose, Sr..

She is survived by: her son-in-law Memory Wright; her children, Ruby Ella, Ambrose Kirk (Mary) and Freddie Wright (Memory); her sisters, Bettye Thompson and Nellie Adams; her sister-in-law Margaret Kirk; her nephew Precel; her grandchildren, Memory Manning Wright (Ronda), Tavis Stampley (Kimberly), Wesley Stampley, Rubin Wright (Stephanie), Ambrose III Kirk (Amanda), Stanford Kirk, Monica Bradford, Marian Ores, Ivana Thigpen (Earl) and Christi Kirk; her close friends, Annell, Sims, Brown and Charlotte; and also, Virginia Ezell, Marjorie Crawford, Tom Bowens, Barbara Smith, Kirk Bradford and Omar Moore. She is also survived by 10 great grandsons, 17 great granddaughters, 1 great, great grandson, 4 nephews, 10 nieces.
