He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Grossenbacher and Theodora Grossenbacher (Stuckey); his in-laws, Charles and Ernestine Hayward; his brother-in-law Wallace Vestal; his sister Esther Shones; his siblings-in-law, Arnold Shones and Young Sook Park; his niece Vikki Peterson (Shones); and his son-in-law James L. Kallina.
He is survived by: his wife Bette Grossenbacher (Hayward); his daughters, Jeanne Kallina (James), Laura Grossenbacher, Joanna Grant (Scott) and Karla Grossenbacher (Alexei Cowett); his grandchildren, Max and Sofia Cowett; his sister Doris Vestal (Wallace); his nieces and nephews, Donna Shones of Islamorada, FL, Carrie Hess of Roscoe, David Shones of Detroit, MI, Dale Shones, Mark Shones, Jeff Vestal, Douglas Vestal of Loves Park, Michael Hess (Michaela) and Jeremy Hess of Madison, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Hess of Madison, WI and Charles Hayward of Schaumburg, IL..
