Melissa left this world on November 15, 2024 at the age of 46, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her brother Thomas D. Kisting; and her grandparents, Delbert, Delores Kisting, William and Dorothy Johnson.

She is survived by: her parents, Thomas C. Kisting and Diane Kisting (Johnson); her children, Kara Sallis, Christopher Kisting and Kyson Kisting; her grandchildren, Nakyiah and Amyara; her siblings, Kevin Kisting (Samantha) and Teresa Kisting (Corey Pickens); her nephew Tion; and her niece Tessa. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

A reception will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115).
