He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Barr and Ruby Barr (Hutmacher); his wife Karen McGrew; his son Kenneth Barr; and his brothers, Leroy and Leslie.
He is survived by: his children, William Barr (Jennie) and Kellie Benavides (Roel); his grandchildren, Larry, Alex, Zachary, Preston, Teeah, Michael, Taylor, Ethan, Benjamin, Xavier, Amelia and Isabel; his great grandchildren, Dwayne, Natane, Jaxon, Evelyn, Anika, Eleanor, Melanie, River, Raelynn, Addilynn, Carter, Kallen and Avarie; and his siblings, Margie Rigney (Harlan), Carol Foutch (John), Lynn Barr (Pat), Betty Rabe (Clifford) and Landis Barr (Darlene).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Honquest Family Funeral Home-Loves Park Chapel (4311 N Mulford Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Larry's name to Northern Illinois Hospice.
