He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Hart; his children, Deborah Thelen, Jerry Carlson (Sandi), Ardenne Casey (Daniel), Pam Henninger (Scott), Cindy Meindl (Dave), Leslie Melton (Dan Draeving) and Lori Carlson (John Ridley); his stepchildren, Sherry Hollis and Steve Hollis; his sister Astrid "Ott" Johnson; and his close friends, Dave Anset of Sequim, WA and Janice Clark (Mick) of Morristown, TN.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
