He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Appell and Marilyn Appell (Cashman); and his brothers, Stephen Appell and Johnny "Rotten" Appell. He is survived by: his sons, Jake Appell and Luke Appell; his siblings, Christine Appell, Cheryl Ortiz (Joe) and Mike Appell (Vicki); his close friend Kathy; and the mother of his children Sandee Appell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
