She was predeceased by: her parents, Germaine Gaines and Poppelier; her grandparents, Alois and Emma; her husband William L. Hughes of Rock Island, IL.; her sister Virginia Ferry; and her great grandchild Hope Elizabeth Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Rosemary Reed (Jim) of Albany, MO, William Hughes (Linda) of Warren, MI, John Hughes (Amalia) of Payson, AZ, Sara Younger (Matt) of Tomahawk, WI, Daniel Hughes (Luanne), Roscoe and David Hughes (Patty) of McKinney, TX. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
