He was predeceased by: his parents, Mayor Benjamin T. and Evelyn G. Schleicher (Waltz); and his wife Judith E. Bietau. He is survived by: his nephew Daniel Ross (Stacy); his great-niece Emily; his great-nephews, Sam and J. Scott Nelson (Leila); his niece Kim Jaeger (Michael); his great-nieces, Haley and Paige; his close friends, Linda Posner, Michael Stopka, Dawn, Berni Lynch and Doug Stock (Dawn); his sons, Charles and Benjamin, Jr.; his sister Sally Ross; his sister-in-law Joyce Rieken; and also Skylar.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Fred C. Olson Chapel (1001 2nd Ave, Rockford, IL 61104). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial may be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
