She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph K. Ward and Mary Simpson Ward; her siblings, Lyle K. Ward, Wendell Ward, Sara Ward Logsdon and Joan Ward Hanning; her stepmother Myrtle Ward; her grandson Craig C. Tyson; her daughter-in-law Yvonne Tyson; her stepdaughters-in-law, Cindy Wells Shaffer and Nancy Wells; and her stepgrandson Dewayne Wells.
She is survived by: her husband Russell Wells of Roodhouse; her sons, Craig D. Tyson of Spring Hill, Mark S. Tyson of Rushville and Brian W. Tyson of McKinney; her grandchildren, Sara Rose Tyson Fitzjarrald (Bryan) of Rushville, Nicholas J. Tyson (Vee Alexander) of Springfield, Lauren E. Tyson of McKinney, Texas, Luke E. Tyson of McKinney, Texas, Cara E. and Chloe E. Tyson of McKinney, Texas; her great grandchild Mila Fitzjarrald of Rushville; her grandchildren, Beckett Fitzjarrald of Rushville, Rio Tyson of Springfield and Llewelyn Tyson of Springfield; her stepchildren, Don Wells, Evelyn, Connie Wells Crow, Paul Wells, Jim Wells, Becky, Gary Wells and Debbie; and her former spouse Jerry D. Tyson. She is also survived by 19 step grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren and 7 step great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Daws Family Funeral Home - Roodhouse (202 W Franklin St, Roodhouse, IL 62082). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Barrow Baptist Church or to the Roodhouse Public Library.
