It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Narlene M. Korta of Romeoville, Illinois, born in Rosiclare, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald G. Korta; her daughter-in-law Linda Korta; her parents, Oscar McDaniel and Oleta Pearl McDaniel; and her sisters, Diana Garcia (Nicholas) and Patricia McPherson.
She is survived by: her children, Donald G. Korta Jr. (Tina), Ramona Salden (Edward) and David A. Korta; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Rachel (Kyle Arendt), Joshua, Rebecca Korta, Jalisa Fuller (Jamie), Gianna Angelo, Isabella Angelo, Staci Wasz (Jeff Wilkie), Kevin Wasz and Elizabeth Arthur (Jacob); her great grandchildren, James, Jaylee, Jager, Journee, Aidan, Rory, Alex, Zach, Gabriel, Braden, Eleanor, Edward and Ernest; her sister Paulette Creager (late Bruce); her niece Janet Siudut; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jonathon and Jamison. She is also survived by her siblings and cousins, and always stopping by her aunt, uncle, and Grandparents.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home (15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church (15629 Illinois Rte 59, Plainfield, IL 60544). A committal service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (3100 N Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171).
