He was predeceased by: his wife Frances M. Kotalik; and his siblings, Pete Woodell (late Kathy), Kurt Kotalik (late Lena) and Pat Tacker (late Larry). He is survived by: his children, Joseph Kotalik Jr. and Melanie Townsend (Blake); his grandchildren, Melania Townsend, Talia Townsend and Mila Townsend; and his sisters, Ginger Sorensen (late Rich) and Miriam House. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
