It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Gonzalez (Romeoville, Illinois), who passed away on October 20, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Gonzalez to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Helen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Helen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Gonzalez and Lupe Gonzalez; and her sister Andrea Aguina (David). She is survived by: her significant other Patricia Holmsten; her sisters, Josephine Hernandez (late Vincent), Antoinette Heredia and Victoria Gonzalez (David); and also Julian Gonzalez (Michaela). She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and many lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anderson Memorial (21131 W Renwick Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (505 Kingston Dr, Romeoville, IL 60446).
