He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Medina and Hilda Medina; and his daughter Christina Galarza. He is survived by: his wife Consuelo Medina; his children, Emilio Medina III, Humberto Salamanca (Guadalupe), Omar Salamanca (Maribel), Tamika Williams, Ricky Galarza, Elena Galarza, David Galarza and Daniel Galarza; and his siblings, Alberto Medina (Janet), Julio Medina (Lidia), Lilly Medina and Maribel Medina. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anderson Memorial (21131 W Renwick Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (404 N Hickory St, Joliet, IL 60435).
