In loving memory of Alvaro Cortez of Romeoville, Illinois, born in San Diego, California, who departed this world on February 3, 2025 at the age of 55. He was predeceased by: his brother Fernando Cortez Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Julian Cortez and Alexis Ruth Cortez; his grandson Julian Cortez Jr.; his father Fernando Cortez (late Eulalia); the mothers of children, Laura Nunez and Ruth Cortes; and his siblings, Celia Vargas (Emiliano), Diego Cortez, Ramiro Cortez (Salud), Roger Cortez (Martha), Eliza Alvarez (Arturo) and Olivia Baez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Anderson Memorial (21131 W Renwick Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544).
