He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Lewan and Caroline Lewan; his wife Shirley Lewan; his son Ronald Lewan (Peggy); and his siblings, Kenneth, Eugene and Joan Bertany.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Jr. (Dawn), Patricia Contreras (David) and Thomas Lewan; his grandchildren, Heather, Courtney, Brian, Carolyn, Kathryn and Keith; and his great grandchildren, Everett, Nolan, Hayden and Aubree.
