Rose Marie Lovejoy Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Marie Lovejoy (Rockton, Illinois), born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vera Bates (Carpenter) and Carl Bates; her son Jack Lovejoy; her husband Newell Lovejoy; her granddaughter Kelly Lovejoy; and her siblings, Norma Bloom, Lois Peterson, Charles Bates and John Bates.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Nichols (Dave), Janet Kibler (Eric), Jody Ware (Bill) and Jill Knoespel (Keith); her grandchildren, Stacia Hale (Jason), Scott Nichols (Alix), Ryan Lovejoy (Kelly), Chad Lovejoy (Angela), Tyler Lovejoy (Heather), Ethan Kibler (Jana), Justin Ware (Karen), Jamie Brackemyer (Zachary), Jason Knoespel (Polina Zasheva) and Jared Knoespel (Lauren Jones); her great grandchildren, Jace, Jordyn Hale, Isabella, Isaac Nichols, Avery, Owen, Miles Lovejoy, Evelyn, Joseph Lovejoy, Noah Lovejoy, Audrey Halsted, Stella and Lucy Brackemyer; and her brother Roger Bates (Judy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests wearing a mask and practicing social distancing.
Rose requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be given to Rockton United Methodist Church, Talcott Free Library and Rockton Lions' Club - Jack Lovejoy Scholarship.
