He was predeceased by: his father Bill Powers; his brothers, Mark and Mike; and his sister-in-law Loni Powers. He is survived by: his mother Claire Powers; and his siblings, Nancy Okimoto, Thomas Powers (Karen), Joanne Iverson (Ted), Patricia Holm (Bruce) and James Powers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Northern Illinois Muscular Dystrophy Association, 550 E. Boughton Road #230, Bolingbrook, IL 60440.
