He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Schmitt and Marie Schmitt; his daughter Laura; and his brothers, Silvester and Alvin.
He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Michael Schmitt, Jennifer Brevoort (Dean) and Phillip Schmitt; his grandchildren, James Brevoort, Scarlett Schmitt and Cecilia Schmitt; and his brothers, Paul Schmitt and Vincent Schmitt.
