She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Porter and Vera Albrecht; her former husband Ben; her granddaughter Missy Barrett; her great grandchild Jordan Barrett; and her siblings, Marge Stoltz, Robert Porter, Fred "Duke" Porter and Glenn Porter.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Messerschmidt; her children, Debbie Puttkemery (Henry), Guy Barrett (Debbie), Mike Barrett (Tammy) and Fritz Oldenburg (Rhonda); and her stepchildren, Daniel Pavlakovic (Sarah), Kathleen Morales, Patricia Fiebig (Bill) and Shirley Davis. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
