He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry and Ruth; his sisters, Dorothy Eudey, Ardath Adams and Merle Fender; his daughter Rose Mary Moate; and his granddaughter Ashley Manno.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Moate; his children, Stanley Moate (Vicki), Sidney Moate (Wendy), Nancy Holme (Chuck) and Tracy Moate (Tami); his grandchildren, Christopher Weinermoate (Jane), Onica Triveno (David), Emily Holme (Brock Young), Patrick Holme (Samantha) and Peter Holme; and his great grandchildren, Delilah, Carson Holme, Crystal and Brianna Triveno.
