He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith; his sons, Donald Peterson (Mary) and James Peterson (Diane); his grandchildren, Jessica Schneider (Alex), Daniel Peterson, Nicholas Peterson and Julia Peterson; his sister Barbara Wiggins; and his sons, Gary Swanson, Greg Swanson (Anne) and Glenn Swanson.
