Zelma M. Sanford Obituary
In loving memory of Zelma M. Sanford of Rockford, Illinois, born in Crystal City, Missouri, who departed this world on November 25, 2024 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Thayer and Anna Thayer (Bland); her sweet John; her son-in-law Todd Lindquist; her grandson Brett Sanford; and her siblings, Kathleen Swagger, Charlotte O'Neal and Roy Thayer.
She is survived by: her significant other John Allen Sanford; her children, Dwight Sanford (Diana), Diana Hawkinson (David A.), Kirt Sanford (Cathy), Mary Edlen (Phil), John Sanford (Lisa) and Penny Lindquist; her sister Ruth Martin (Chuck); and her caregiver Sue. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Fred C. Olson Chapel (1001 2nd Ave, Rockford, IL 61104). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
