He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. Winterbauer and Mary Winterbauer (Brennan); his brothers, John and Matthew; and his granddaughter Eliana Marie Winterbauer.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Mary Burke; his children, Theresa Winterbauer, Susan Winterbauer, William Winterbauer III, Katherine Robb and Eric Winterbauer; his grandchildren, Adam, Brennan Winterbauer (Ashley), Jared, Ashley and Angela Robb; and his great grandchildren, William IV, Brennan and Isaac Winterbauer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Oratory Roman Catholic Church (517 Elm St, Rockford, IL 61103). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
