We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2025, at the age of 83, Wanda Sue McNece (Rockford, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Wanda Sue departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Wanda Sue may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Wanda Sue leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bill McNece; her parents, Ted Lance and Elizabeth Lance; her sisters, Betty Wartman and Glenda Jarvis; and her nephew Nathan Lance.
She is survived by: her son Jason McNece (Heather); her stepdaughters, Amanda Shank (Bobby) and Susan McNece; her grandchildren, Lance and Lauren McNece; and her brothers, James Lance (Mary) and Randy Lance (Barb).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Halsted Road Baptist Church (3326 Halsted Rd, Rockford, IL 61101).
