He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Carlin (Frank) and Audrey Taylor; and his daughter Pamela Carlin Reddan (Mike). He is survived by: his wife Susan Carlin; his children, Sara Carlin Baxter (Michael), Christopher Carlin (Lisa), Stephen Carlin (Jennifer) and Andrew Carlin (Cecily); his grandchildren, Audrey, Benjamin, Whitney, Claire, Jordan, Allison, Jack, Ellie, Nicholas and Elsie; and his sister Nan Carlin.
