Tanya E. Bender Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tanya E. Bender of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on April 3, 2025 at the age of 55. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Tanya E. Bender to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Kenneth Olson; and her sister-in-law Lori Carr. She is survived by: her mother Maria Olson (Awe); her husband Steve (Mark); her daughters, Alexeus Bender, Sarah Schackelton (James), Sheila Bender and Nadia Amidon (Taylor); her grandchildren, Aurora, True and Piper Schackelton; her sisters, Nancy Yehling and Karen Sletten (Paul); and her sisters-in-law, Rhonda Schroeder (Kurt) and Mary Sizemore (Mike). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (3300 Rural St, Rockford, IL 61107).
