We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2024, at the age of 89, Shirley Allen of Rockford, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hezekiah Carson and Sarah Carson; her husband Tom Allen; her son Dallas Allen; and her siblings, Savanah Wright, Jerome Dyson, James Carson and Clyde Dyson.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Allen, Darcy Allen, Andrea Allen, Cynthia Outlow (Frank), Geraldine Allen, Sarah Michelle Allen, Sharon Allen, Lynn Allen and Mary Brooks; her grandson Ladon Allen; and her cousin Clifford "Buddy" Johnson. She is also survived by 29 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren; a host of cousins other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Providence Baptist Church (2209 Clifton Ave, Rockford, IL 61102). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
