He was predeceased by: his parents, Santo Vaccaro and Clara Vaccaro. He is survived by: his wife Doris Gambill; his daughters, Cyndi Shields (Larry), Lori Vaccaro and Julie Vaccaro (Bill Pasque); and his grandchildren, Matthew Shields (Melinda), Andrew Shields (Roxanne), Kaitlyn Jones (Matthew), Chelsea Beran, Lexi Whaley (Jeremy Rose) and Hayley Frakes (Mark). He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
