It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Fisher of Rockford, Illinois, born in Vance, Mississippi, who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rebecca Monroe and George Nevlis; her husband Charles Fisher; her close friend L. C. of Washington; her son Norman Fisher; and her siblings, Christine Black, Dollie Caines, Dorothy Waller, Willa Glover, James Fields, Tommy Fields, Henry Fields and Jessie Fields.
She is survived by: her grandson Norman Fisher Jr.; her siblings, Willie Fields, Cora Anderson, Rebecca Harrington, Ruthie Wilson, Annie Fields and Bobbie Jean Williams; and her close friend Betty J. of Washington. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
