Roger Lee Bruyn Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Lee Bruyn of Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bruyn and Caroline Bruyn (Jordan). He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Bruyn (Bald); his daughter Amy Bruyn; his grandchildren, Jonathan Baker (Cheyenne), Sabrina Chan, Stella and Lucy Moczydlowski; his great grandchildren, Karma and Keanu Baker; his sister Bonnie Whitmer (Edward); his sister-in-law Mary Ann Bruyn; his daughter Beth Baker; and his brother Robert Bruyn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home (218 W Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Boone County Conservation District.
